Your voice was a gift. No need to work for it. The work is to accept it. 

You were born with the natural coordination to project sounds. Babies project their voices. Their cries are a communication. As the job of the singer is to communicate, we must return to this natural gift.

Sprezzatura: effortless mastery is the goal. With no physical effort the freedom of the voice appears. Power comes from the emotional body, not the physical body. The more you interfere the less we hear. 

It is this acceptance of the gift that connects the energetic body to the vocal cords.. The harder you work with the physical body to produce sound, the less the result. The voice is not an object to be manipulated. Natural coordination is the key. Just accept the gift that was given you. The work is this acceptance. Never sing past beautiful--the natural coordination of the body.
