THE WORM TURNS

The butterfly begins its life as a worm which moves slowly and can't see very far. Not satisfied, he builds himself a cocoon. Life in the cocoon is at first a painful place, but in isolation he begins to let go. His vision improves. It takes a long time. The worm then becomes peaceful and is perfectly willing to stay there. In the cocoon he can rest and understand that the world is safe enough to emerge. The worm is transforming.

The singer too must take time to find that peaceful place inside. Little by little the ego begins to dissolve. Now the urge to break out becomes strong and stronger. Freedom at last. This is the transformation of the voice.

LIFE BEGINS AT THE END OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Neale Donald Walsch

When first leaving our comfort zone the singer must take time to spread his wings. The tendency to go back into the cocoon is strong. But the desire to fly gets stronger and stronger. He feels freer and freer. The EFFORT LEAVES. He can now relax and allow this transformation to happen. The wings fully expand - beautiful and fragile - and the flight is effortless. With a MINIMUM OF EFFORT we begin to soar.

DON'T REMAIN A WORM
